AI Playbook for Design Teams

A surge of dystopian stories have dominated the news cycle in 2023, fueled by concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) and the fear of a future in which robots control everything and human jobs are obsolete. The stories are alarming but in reality, AI is far from replacing us. Creatives actually face a different, more solvable dilemma—one that could, if handled well, secure our role as trusted, strategic partners.

Leaders will shoulder a significant responsibility in navigating this new shift, not only for their teams but also for our collective discipline. Leaders say they anticipate encountering major challenges within their teams due to the rise of AI—challenges such as the need for education, shifting team focus and responsibilities, and hiring.

This playbook contains a curated set of tools to help you develop a plan to lead your team into the future. Because here’s the reality: You’re beyond busy. You don’t have time to vet every new AI tool on the horizon. Design Dept. has done the research and experimented with the tech and laid the foundation—and now you can use this set of tools and recommendations  to help your team implement new technology into their creative process.
